Gary Dourdan Plays Down Paparazzo Clash

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Gary Dourdan has played down reports of his alleged attack on a video paparazzo, declaring it was a “minor incident.”

An unnamed photographer, who works for entertainment Web site TMZ.com, claims Dourdan “slammed” him to the pavement and shoved him several times outside Los Angeles nightspot Hyde.

Video footage of the alleged incident shows Dourdan shouting, “Get that f**king camera out of my face.”

Dourdan‘s representative has released a statement, saying, “Gary has always been respectful of the media and the paparazzi but also values his privacy. It’s our belief that this is a minor incident exaggerated by an eager paparazzo in order to create a story.”

A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department says the photographer in question has filed a vandalism complaint against the 40-year-old actor.

TMZ.com boss Harvey Levin says, “Dourdan is a thug, and he needs to be prosecuted. He needs to look at some time behind bars.”

A spokesperson for CBS insists the incident “has not affected production” of the crime drama, adding, “Rumors that he has been dropped from the show are absolutely false”
