Jamie-Lynn Sigler Blasts ‘Sopranos’ Star Lillo Brancato

The Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has blasted former co-star Lillo Brancato Jr after he was involved in a cop killing last year.

The actor is awaiting sentencing after pleading not guilty to charges of second-degree murder, burglary and weapon possession.

He and an associate were breaking into a New York home last December when they were approached by off-duty policeman Daniel Enchautegui. Brancato‘s partner-in-crime, Steven Armento, shot and killed the cop.

The actor maintains he did not know his associate was carrying a loaded gun on the night of the tragedy.

But Sigler insists Brancato deserves whatever punishment is handed to him by officials.

She tells Maxim magazine, “I feel awful for that officer and the officer’s family. I feel bad for Lillo‘s family, but it’s his own fault.

“Just because he was on my show doesn’t mean I have to take his side.”

Brancato, who played Matt Bevilacqua on The Sopranos, is hoping to strike a deal with prosecutors over his involvement in the murder of the police officer.
