12 Things You Didn’t Know About ‘Stranger Things’

Once again, Netflix has come out with another outstanding original show. Stranger Things is a sci-fi thriller that gives people serious nostalgia. The secret behind the show is the amazing movie references, but there is a lot more that went into it. Here are 12 things you didn’t know about Stranger Things.

1. To get Millie Bobby Brown more comfortable with shaving her head, they talked about how amazing Charlize Theron looked in Mad Max: Fury Road.

2. The art department was able to get Hopper’s trailer for $1!

“I liked them at first,” the actress told Elle. “I was like, ‘Oh! This isn’t too bad!’ It was just the amount of times I was doing it—seven or eight times. At first we had the blueberry and I was like, ‘This is nice! I like this!’ And then I was like, ‘Okay. Now I need a spit bucket. I’m going to throw up.'”

8. The Duffer Brothers were turned down to do the It remake so there are many Stephen King references.

This includes the show’s logo being somewhat based on the Cujo and Christine novels. Also a state trooper in the morgue’s name is Cujo.

9. Kids were scared of the monster on set, so they were told  it was from Monsteropolis from Monsters, Inc..

11. The show was originally sold as Montauk with that as its location.

However this area was impossible to use for shooting during the wintertime. This setting was a base for Jaws.
