Dave Grohl working on new docu-series

Rocker Dave Grohl has started work on a new documentary project, according to his pal Brandi Carlile.

The Joke singer/songwriter lets slip the news in a new interview with Rolling Stone as she explained how she and Grohl ended up hanging out together at her home in Seattle, Washington in mid-April (19), when they also hit the streets as buskers.

“I don’t totally want to give it away, but he came out to my house to talk to me about something he’s working on. It’s more like one of his docu-series (sic),” Carlile shared.

“We hung out and rode four-wheelers around my house all day, cooked dinner and did shots of tequila – just had a great time.”

She stopped short of divulging further details about the Foo Fighters frontman’s latest endeavor, but he is no stranger to the world of documentary-making, following the success of his TV mini-series Sonic Highways.

The 2014 release featured Grohl exploring the history of American music by traveling to different cities to interview artists like Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, Dolly Parton, KISS star Paul Stanley, Heart’s Nancy Wilson, and Joe Walsh of the Eagles.

Grohl has yet to comment on the nature of his latest project.
