ROLE CALL: Robin Goes Psycho

From psychotically funny to just plain psycho?

That seems to be the trajectory for Robin Williams. The Hollywood Reporter says today that the career funnyman has been cast against type as a pathologically obsessive man in the thriller “One Hour Photo.”

Written and directed by music video veteran Mark Romanek (whose directorial resume includes music videos for Madonna’s “Rain” and Beck’s “Devil’s Haircut”), the flick is scheduled to begin production in the fall.

’DRAGON’ LADY: Daily Variety columnist Michael Fleming reports that Bridget Fonda has landed the female lead opposite Jet Li in “Kiss of the Dragon.” The film will be directed by “The Fifth Element” and “Joan of Arc” helmer Luc Besson.

DOUBLE ‘CONSPIRACY’: Thesps Kenneth Branagh and Stanley Tucci will star in the HBO film “Conspiracy,” the Reporter says. The flick chronicles the secret meeting in 1942 of the Third Reich where Hitler and his crew drew up plans for the Final Solution.

WORD UP: Daily Variety reports that ex-“Law & Order” guy Benjamin Bratt will take the leading role in “Pinero,” a biopic about Latino poet Miguel Pinero. Shooting begins Friday in New York.
