A New ‘That’s So Raven’ Spin-Off Is Coming To Disney Channel

Fans of the iconic Disney Channel Original Series, That’s So Raven rejoice! Raven-Symoné is officially leaving The View at the end of this year for a new That’s So Raven spin-off. Perhaps this is the final nail in The View’s moldy coffin, because though Raven’s views often didn’t make any sense, she did bring lots of viewership during her tenure on the daytime series.

Post-View, it looks like Raven is headed to Los Angeles to reprise her role as the psychic Raven Baxter. She will also serve as Executive Producer on the new show. When That’s So Raven wrapped into 2007, a new series, Cory in the House which aired for two seasons and followed Raven’s younger brother, Cory, took its place. However, Raven-Symone was not a part of that series.

In the newest spin-off Raven will be a divorced mother two preteens, one of whom has inherited her ability to catch glimpses of the future. This seems a tad odd to us considering the fact that Raven aired only a decade ago and Raven wasn’t even in college yet on the series. But it’s Disney so whatevs!

Adam Bonnett, who is the VP of original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide said of the new spin-off, “Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in ‘That’s So Raven’ is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family.
