Pop star Christina Aguilera has filed a lawsuit against Warlock Records, Platinum Recording Group and producers Robert Allecca and Michael Brown in an attempt to block the release of some demos she recorded when she was 14 years old. The lawsuit alleges unfair competition, appropriation of likeness and breach of contract in connection with Warlock’s plan to distribute a compilation album called Just Be Free, which was produced in the studios of Los Angeles-based BAM Records, where Allecca and Brown worked. Aguilera is seeking an injunction to stop the sale of the album as well as unspecified damages and legal fees.
