Today seems to be the day of already impressive casts getting even better. Now Elijah Wood has joined Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg in Celeste and Jesse Forever. Woods will play Jones’ metrosexual business partner. Hollywood Reporter says he’ll attempt to be her “saucy gay friend” which could possibly mean that he’s going to go stereotypically homosexual and fail tremendously. If that’s the direction it goes, awesome it shall be. And if it doesn’t go that direction I’m sure it’ll still be awesome, after all Jones co-wrote the script. But I’m just spit-balling ideas here.
Also, when did Elijah Wood get funny? First he shows up in the Beastie Boys short film Fight For Your Right Revisited then he goes and stars in one of the funniest looking shows of the summer, Wilfred. And now a Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg movie? Alright, Wood. I see what you’re doing here and I approve.
