Donald Glover to Voice Yoshi in Upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Donald Glover is heading to the Mushroom Kingdom in a brand-new role. The multi-talented actor, writer, and musician has been cast as the voice of Yoshi in the upcoming animated sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

The film serves as a follow-up to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which became one of the most successful video game adaptations ever released. This time, the story expands beyond familiar territory as Mario and his allies travel through space, visiting different planets while facing off against their longtime enemy Bowser and new cosmic challenges.

Super Mario Galaxy Cast: Donald Glover, Chris Pratt & More

Several stars from the original movie are returning, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, and Jack Black as Bowser. The sequel also introduces new characters and voices. Brie Larson will voice Princess Rosalina, Donald Glover will voice Luigi, while Luis Guzmán plays Wart and Issa Rae voices the Honey Queen.

The animated adventure is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and produced by Nintendo and Illumination, with distribution from Universal Pictures. Watch the official trailer below!
