Former Taxi star Marilu Henner married her college crush Michael Brown in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The 54-year-old actress met Brown, also 54, when they were studying at the University of Chicago. Brown dated Henner‘s roommate at the time and Henner admits she refrained from pursuing a romantic relationship with him after their break-up because of “the girlfriend code.”
However, five years ago, a mutual friend gave Henner‘s phone number to Brown and they soon began dating.
Brown proposed from his hospital bed after coming round from surgery for bladder and lung cancer in November 2001.
Henner has previously been married to actor Frederic Forrest (‘80-‘82) and director Robert Lieberman (‘90-‘01), with whom she has two sons, Nicky, 12, and Joey, 11, who gave her away at the ceremony.
