So is everyone just destined to die on Grey’s Anatomy? Is that what’s happening? Because our hearts can’t take it. If we were smart, we would have stopped watching long ago, to save ourselves the heartache. But Shonda Rhimes kept sucking us back in. Here are some times we should have given up.
1. The bomb in the body cavity.
When Kyle Chandler got blown to pink mist we should have just called it a day.
2. When Meredith almost drowned.
Or, rather, tried to drown herself. So dark and twisty.
3. When George and Izzie hooked up.
It was like watching a brother and sister kiss.
4. When George died.
We have to admit, the reveal that it was George lying in the hospital bed was pretty fantastic. But we loved George!
5. When Izzie started seeing Ghost Denny.
When Izzie started cheating on Alex with Ghost Denny, we should have called it quits with the show. It was preposterous. Yet we kept watching.
6. When a gunman shot up the hospital.
Seattle Grace is the unluckiest hospital in the world, by far.
7. When they started bringing in new characters.
Mainly because they killed off all the good ones.
8. When Dr. Yang left.
But…but…you were Meredith’s “person”!
9. When that plane crashed and McSteamy died.
More deaths?!
At least the show is aware of how ridiculous it can be.
