Willow Smith cancels South by Southwest performance

Singer/actress Willow Smith disappointed fans on Thursday (15Mar18) after pulling out of a gig at the South by Southwest music and film festival.
The Whip My Hair hitmaker had been booked to headline the all-female showcase for the ICM X Cantu Women Represent event in Austin, Texas, but she took to Twitter hours before the concert to reveal she would no longer be performing.
“Hey guys – Im super bummed I cant make it down to sxsw this year now due to unforeseen matters (sic),” she posted. “I hope to see you all soon!”
Willow, the 17-year-old daughter of Hollywood heavyweights Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, did not elaborate on the cause of her cancellation.
Other artists on the bill for the show included Kendrick Lamar collaborator Rapsody, and rapper Kamaiyah.
