Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and DJ Khaled in negotiations for new talent show – report

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Dj Khaled are reportedly in negotiations to judge new hip-hop talent competition The Four.

According to TMZ.com, they are far along in discussions with Fox TV executives to be on the judging panel of the channel’s latest reality series, but are yet to sign contracts.

The show will comprise of four judges, with Diddy taking the mogul spot and DJ Khaled the producer.

The other two remaining spots to be taken by a songwriter and a performer, one of which will be a woman.

The competition will feature contemporary pop music with a hip-hop twist and consist of a new format.

Four finalists will be chosen from their auditions and they have to defend their spots as new challengers will come in each week to try and replace them. Viewers watching at home can submit audition tapes and get voted into the show by the public and they will have to outperform an existing contestant to stay on.

The judging panel will be part of the winner’s prize as they will help them launch their career.
Fox announced the show in August (17). It will serve as their replacement for American Idol, which they dropped in 2016. It was picked up by ABC and will return in 2018.
