Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson doesn’t get his muscular figure by chowing down on sweets — the actor and former wrestler hasn’t had candy since. Jimmy Fallon decided to make history and have the Rock try some candy for the first time in 27 years during a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The Rock’s last piece of candy was Twizzlers that he had at the movies in the late ’80s. It was so long ago that Johnson doesn’t even remember what movie he was seeing. Does he even remember what candy tastes like at all? How do you even come back from a sugar break that long?
Fallon decided to help the Rock take the plunge and dive head first into a sugar high. He presented the actor with an array of awesome sweets — Ring Pops, Nerds Rope, Pop Rocks, a giant gummy worm and Rock’s favorite, Twizzlers.
Johnson opted for Pop Rocks, which is pretty much pure sugar and definitely a bold choice after such a long hiatus.
So what was his verdict?
“So that’s what candy tastes like? It’s amazing!”
