Wedding Etiquette 101 prohibts guests from wearing white to a wedding because it takes the spotlight off the bride. Gabourey Sidibe, however, doesn’t seem to give a f**k about manners. Not only did she decide to show up to Jimmy Kimmel’s wedding decked out in white, she wore a full-blown wedding gown.
Okay, okay, cool your jets — Sidibe was just being a jokester. Everyone knows Jimmy Kimmel’s quite a prankster, but who would’ve thought that Gabourey Sidibe had some practical jokes of her own?
At Kimmel’s wedding to comedic writer Molly McNeary in Ojai, California, Sidibe rolled up in a black Escalade limo and her attendant held the train to her wedding gown as she strutted into the ceremony. We’re sure that Kimmel and his fellow newlywed McNeary had quite the chuckle over this wild antic! The Precious star kept things classy once the initial shock wore off, though, and traded in her white wedding ensemble for a fire engine red dress.
We had an inkling Sidibe was buddy-buddy with Kimmel after she made a cameo in Kimmel’s Channing Tatum-praising music video “Channing All Over Your Tatum,” but we didn’t know the two were this close!
