The news comes just one year after Baena’s passing at the age of 47. The couple had reportedly been separated for several months prior to his death. During a podcast appearance on Good Hang with Amy Poehler in 2025, she shared, “I’m here, and I’m functioning, and I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I’m OK, but it’s a daily struggle, obviously.”

Plaza’s recent appearances, including at Paris Fashion Week, sparked speculation among fans due to her choice of loose-fitting outfits. While neither Plaza nor Abbott has publicly commented further, the confirmed pregnancy signals a hopeful and joyful new beginning.
