Johnny Depp Sued: Women Alleges Security Team Assault

ALTJohnny Depp may have to battle a lawsuit in court. On Monday, a disabled woman filed paperwork against Depp claiming that his security team embarrassed her when they removed her from an Iggy and the Stooges concert in December. She alleges that the team was so rough that her pants came off in the process, “exposing her buttocks” to the crowd around her.

According to the court papers, Depp’s bodyguards tried to keep the alleged victim, “Jane Doe,” from returning to her seat to retrieve her cane. She then claims that she noticed Depp talking with his security team and looking in her direction.

But it didn’t end there. The bodyguards reportedly snatched her by the wrists trying to take her iPhone, dragged her to another area, and pried the mobile device out of her hand. According to Jane Doe, the security team said they were off-duty police officers and they tried to handcuff her. After that, they reportedly dragged her on the floor out of the stadium and that’s when her pants apparently came off.

Jane Doe claims to have suffered “injuries to the extreme and outrageous humiliation.” She also says that Depp’s team was aware that she was disabled, and that Depp knew of the teams’ drastic actions taken against her. As a result, Jane Doe is suing Depp and the Hollywood Palladium — where the concert was being held — on grounds of negligence, assault, battery, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress and discriminatory practices in public accommodations.

Hollywood.com has reached out to Depp’s rep for comment, but have yet to hear back.
