CinemaCon 2026: Amazon MGM Unveils Major Movie Lineup

At CinemaCon 2026, Amazon MGM Studios made one thing clear: the theatrical experience is far from fading. With an ambitious, genre-spanning lineup set for 2026 and beyond, the studio is doubling down on big-screen storytelling and aiming to draw audiences back into theaters in a major way.

Following a strong year at the box office—bolstered by Project Hail Mary—the studio is building momentum with a slate that blends recognizable IP, star-driven projects, and bold original ideas. Leadership emphasized that the focus is not just on volume, but on creating films that feel like must-see theatrical events.

(l-r): Roboto (Kristen Wiig), Man At Arms (Idris Elba), Adam (Nicholas Galitzine), Teela (Camila Mendes) and Cringer in MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE.

“We are building films that give audiences a reason to leave the house,” said Kevin Wilson, head of domestic theatrical distribution, reinforcing the studio’s theatrical-first mindset.
