Who is Todrick Hall?

Todrick Hall is an American rapper, singer, actor, and YouTuber. After making it to the semi-finals on the ninth season of American Idol, Todrick gained a massive following on YouTube, where he posted original songs and skits. Since then, he has released three albums, including Somebody’s Christmas (2010), Straight Outta Oz (2016), and Forbidden (2018). He’s also appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race and starred on Broadway in Kinky Boots, Chicago, and Waitress.

Todrick Hall has been open about his sexuality, posting videos on his YouTube channel about his experiences as a young, gay Black man. Speaking with Out Magazine, Todrick expressed his excitement about partnering with Morphe for Pride Month:

“I’ve been a fan of Morphe for years. I feel like more than ever people want to be motivated and want to be uplifted. They want to be reminded how beautiful they are. So for me to be doing my first collaboration with a beauty company was perfect timing.”

What’s included in the Live With Love collection?

Todrick’s Morphe collection, Live With Love, features an eyeshadow palette with 25 different shades that symbolize the rainbow colors of the Pride flag. Each shade is named a positive word or saying to help celebrate Pride Month, such as “Act With Love” and “Listen.” Along with the palette, the collection has a brush set and hand-held mirror.

Proceeds from the Morphe + Todrick Hall collection will go to The Trevor Project

Morphe has been a big supporter of Pride and Pride Month in the past. In 2019, the brand collaborated with The Trevor Project, and in 2020, they teamed up with GLSEN.

This year, Morphe will donate 100% of its proceeds from Todrick’s Live With Love collection to the LGBTQ organization The Trevor Project. Founded in 1998, the nonprofit provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth.

The Trevor Project’s director of corporate development, Shira Kogan, believes the Morphe collaboration will have a positive outcome for the organization:

“The Trevor Project’s crisis services hear from LGBTQ young people who say that using beauty products can feel empowering, and that makeup can help with positive forms of expression and self-care,” Shira Kogan told Pride. “We’re excited that our partnership will enable The Trevor Project to share our resources with Morphe’s communities, and their donation will help us to continue serving LGBTQ+ youth in crisis 24/7 and for free.”
