Pop princess Selena Gomez is a big sister. Her mother Mandy Cornett gave birth to a daughter on Thursday, E! Online reports. This is Cornett’s first child with husband Brian Teefey, as well as Gomez’s first sibling. Gomez had announced her mother’s pregnancy by tweeting a picture of her cupping her mom’s belly on Mother’s Day.
Gomez’s friend (or frenemy, depending on the day) Demi Lovato tweeted about the happy news and, judging by her use of exclamation points, was very, very excited for her friend.

I’m guessing that the singer’s baby sister will be watching a lot of Wizards of Waverly Place growing up. Spring Breakers… not so much.
