England soccer anthem Three Lions has landed another U.K. chart record after almost dropping out of the top 100 a week after returning to number one.
The 1996 David Baddiel and Frank Skinner collaboration with the Lightning Seeds made history last week (13Jul18), when it became the first track to spend four non-consecutive stints at number one with the same line-up of performers, but Three Lions has now plummeted down the singles chart following England’s World Cup semi-final defeat at the hands of Croatia.
The track has fallen 96 spots to number 97 on the new countdown, while Drake returns to the top for the third time this year with In My Feelings.
George Ezra’s Shotgun and Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato’s Solo round out the new top three, while Ariana Grande’s God Is A Woman and Drake’s Don’t Matter To Me, which features the late Michael Jackson, are in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Drake also tops the U.K. albums chart with Scorpion, while The Vamps’ 2017 release Night and Day rises 141 places to number two thanks to a marketing revamp and the addition of 10 new songs.
The soundtracks to The Greatest Showman and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Ezra’s Staying At Tamara’s complete the top five.
