How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days
The Players: Kate Hudson, Matthew McConaughey, Adam Goldberg, Thomas Lennon, Michael Michele; directed by Donald Petrie (Miss Congeniality, Mystic Pizza)
The Skinny: A Casanova played by McConaughey bets his buddies (Goldberg, Lennon, ) that he can stay in a relationship for more than 10 days. As it would happen, the girl that he selects to help him win this bet (Hudson) wants to be rid of him sooner than that–like immediately.
The Bottom Line: We hear the script got a rewrite by Igby Goes Down‘s Burr Steers, which could add a little quirky edge to this romantic comedy. We’re bettin’ types, so we predict: McConaughey and Hudson will have marvelous chemistry, and this will mark his comeback.
