Located in the shopping complex One Bellevue Place, AMC Bellevue is one of Nashville’s AMC movie theaters. The movie theater offers an unforgettable movie-watching experience with plush recliners, Dolby Surround Sound, and IMAX projections.

Catch all of the latest movie releases at AMC Bellevue with the choice of delicious movie snacks like refillable popcorn buckets, candy, pretzel bites, and nachos. Nashville Movie Theaters: Regal Opry Mills 20 & IMAX

The Regal Opry Mills 20 & IMAX is home to one of the largest movie theater circuits, Regal Cinema. Located in the Opry Mills Simon Center mall, the theater shows current popular movies on large screens.

The cinema offers 4DX theater technology that uses special effects like motion-synchronized sears, wind, fog, rain, and lighting for an immersive movie-going experience. With IMAX, viewers watch movies at Regal Opry Mills with high-resolution screens, stadium seating, and crystal clear surround sound.

You can choose to go with a classic movie theater snack like popcorn or dine in at one of the mall’s several restaurants. From Chili’s, Dave & Buster’s, Rainforest Cafe, T.G.I Friday’s, and Romano’s Macaroni Grill, the surrounding areas of the movie theater offer plenty of different cuisines. With this prime mall location, you can get some shopping in before or after your showtime. One Google reviewer says that Regal Opry Mills 20 & IMAX is hands down the best theater in Nashville. “Stunning IMAX With Laser projection, great seats, and IMAX 12.1 sound,” they said, “Pictures don’t do it justice. No other IMAX screen in Nashville can touch this.”

Nashville Movie Theaters: Stardust Drive-In Theatre

Drive only a half-hour east to Watertown, TN, to set your sights on the Stardust Drive-In Theatre. Initially built in 2003, the drive-in offers both nostalgic, fun movies and current films with modern sound and projection technology.  According to the theatre’s website, “The Stardust has become middle Tennessee’s ‘Family Fun Place – Under the Stars’.”

The drive-in operates between March and November, playing movies only from Friday to Saturday, starting at 7:50 p.m. With 2 screens, the theater plays double features back to back. Tickets prices are $9 per person, with child movie tickets from ages 6-11 priced at $7.

Satisfy your hunger with the Stardust concession stand. Here, you can get the classic movie theater popcorn, candy, and soda combo or try a hamburger or fried chicken sandwich meal. Check out their novelty snacks like cotton candy, Mayfield ice cream pints, big pickles, and a jumbo soft pretzel. Stardust also has its own merchandise store where they sell branded T-shirts and gift cards.

One Google reviewer enjoys the childlike memories they get from visiting the drive-in, saying, “I have been coming to Stardust since I was a kid and have loved it ever since. Great service, and you get the feeling of supporting a small and local business.” Stardust is just one of the many reasons drive-ins are making a comeback!

Nashville Movie Theaters: Belcourt Theatre

The Belcourt Theatre is a nonprofit cinema located in the Hillsboro Village District. The theatre began its long viewing history in 1925, showing silent movies accompanied by an organ. Now, the film center screens a wide range of films.

According to the theatre’s website, Belcourt’s mission is “to engage, enrich, and educate through innovative film programming in our historic theatre, our community, and beyond.” The theatre hosts different movie screenings from new releases, repertory, heist, weekend classics, music city Mondays, and 35mm film.

With a focus on educating young audiences, Belcourt offers various programs for children and young adults. In the Science on Screen program, viewers watched science fiction movies with discussions afterward with leading scientists and researchers. High school girls watched films centered around women in the Strong Leads program, discussing gender representation in the media. With the Belcourt High School Film Club, students meet for movies at the cinema with an informal discussion following the screening.

Nashville Movie Theaters: Full Moon Cineplex

Enjoy Nashville’s own classic dinner with a movie experience at the Full Moon Cineplex. Whether you’re looking solely for movie-watching or an added dinner, the theater will provide your every need. General admission for movies is $7, while dinner and a movie costs around $24 per ticket.

Nashville Movie Theaters: Franklin Theatre

Enjoy the all-encompassing arts experience in the heart of downtown Franklin at the Franklin Theatre. The theatre began its run in 1937, where it would screen classic movies. When it closed in 2007 due to rising rent, the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County bought and rehabilitated the theater.

Now, the theatre screens movies and holds concerts, dance shows, and live theater. You can catch classics and old favorites like Harry Potter or Sunset Boulevard. If you’d like to have a private screening, the Franklin Theatre lets you rent out the space for full-day and half-day options.

Nashville Movie Theaters: AMC Antioch 8

For a trip away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, head about 20 minutes southeast to AMC Antioch. This theater is one of the many AMC cinemas located near the Nashville area.

With its beginnings in 1920, AMC gives audiences the ultimate movie-going experience when they spend their time at the theater. Catch all the new releases from stadium-style soft recliners. Nashville Movie Theaters: Regal Providence

Regal Providence is located in Providence Marketplace in Mt. Juliet, TN, about 25 minutes away from the city. The theater is another one of the many Regal Cinemas near the Nashville area.

Using special effects like 4DX immersive technology and high-resolution screens, Regal Providence offers popular movies at a reasonable price. You’ll be able to lounge in nicely built recliners while snacking on some of your favorite movie theater staples like popcorn or chocolate. If you’re craving an adult beverage, Regal Providence also has a wide range of beer selections.

Regular customers believe that it’s the best movie theater they’ve been to. “The ticket prices are fair, its clean/neat, polite staff,” one Google reviewer says. “I was sad when they closed it due to covid-19 but since it’s open, I’m ready to go 48 times a year again.”
