There’s nothing inherently wrong when a movie synopsis can be summed up fairly well in a single sentence. Take Faster for example. The plot is as follows, try to keep up: The Rock goes on a mission to kill the gang that killed his brother. Excuse me, I messed up something there. Dwayne Johnson goes on a mission to kill the gang that killed his brother.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with a simple premise like that as long as it is done well. As this red band trailer shows, this movie looks like it could kick ass in a very primal way. I’m just glad to see the star of Race to Witch Mountin really stretching his people’s elbow.
