‘Parks and Recreation’ Duo Join ‘Gay Dude’

Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, real-life spouses and fictional exes in the critically acclaimed but perennially low-rated sitcom Parks and Recreation, have joined the cast of Lionsgate comedy Gay Dude, Variety reports. The film stars Nicholas Braun and Hunter Cope as “two best friends who vow to get each other laid for the first time before their senior prom. Their quest takes an unexpected turn when Matty tells Michael that he’s gay.” According to Variety, Offerman will play Braun’s father while Mullaly will play Cope’s mother. Chris Nelson is directing from a Black List script (that means it’s good) by Parks and Recreation writer Alan Yang.
