‘Think Like a Man’ Sequel Officially in the Works

Think Like a Man
A sequel to the surprise spring 2012 hit (borderline blockbuster) romantic comedy Think Like a Man is officially in the works at Screen Gems.

No word just yet on which of the countless cast members (including Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union, Chris Brown, and truly many others) from the original will be returning, but a sequel has seemed like a foregone conclusion ever since Think Like a Man opened in April to massive box office numbers — and went on to become arguably the biggest financial-success story of the year…thus far.

Two key players integral to the success of the first movie, however, will be back for the sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter: writers Keith Merryman and David A. Newman.

The film, which is based on actor/producer/writer/comedian (and next Tyler Perry?) Steve Harvey‘s book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, has famously raked in almost $100 at the worldwide box office despite a rumored indie budget in the neighborhood of $12 million. There’s no reason to think that, at such a rate of return, Screen Gems won’t strike while the iron is hot and greenlight multiple sequels!
