Soup Nazi Heads to Britain

The man who inspired the militant Seinfeld character The Soup Nazi is opening 50 new restaurants in Britain.

Al Yeganeh, who already owns successful soup outlets in the Big Apple, and his partners plan to open the Original Soup Man franchises in Britain over the next year.

Seinfeld‘s Soup Nazi was a stone-faced immigrant who was well known throughout the city for his delicious soups.

He demanded all customers follow his meticulous soup-ordering instructions exactly or they would be dismissed with a strict “No soup for you!”

Yeganeh’s popularity from the show made him infamous and he even made a brief cameo appearance in the Seinfeld finale.

He now owns 20 restaurants in North America and also plans to expand into Germany, Italy and Japan.
