Victoria Justice is back and better than ever

If you watched Nickelodeon growing up,  you probably recognize the name Victoria Justice. She quickly rose to fame when starring in Zoey 101 and Victorious, but she is now breaking free from the Nickelodeon mold and venturing into her own territory in Hollywood. After a few years’ hiatus, Victoria Justice is back and better than ever. 

So, how did Victoria Justice navigate her way through child stardom and become the talent she is today? 

How old is Victoria Justice?

Victoria Justice is 27 years old, and she has been in the spotlight since she was 10. Over the years, Victoria Justice’s net worth has grown to over 12 million, which is pretty impressive for an actress who is just getting started.

Does Victoria Justice have a boyfriend?

The truth is, Victoria Justice seems to be too busy to be dating anyone. She has an album on the way and a new movie release to take care of. 

Naturally, Victoria Justice has an impressive dating repertoire. She’s dated some big celebs in Hollywood. Ryan Rottman, Nicholas Hoult, and Josh Hutcherson are among the lucky men who’ve dated Victoria Justice. 

We had no idea Victoria Justice dated Josh Hutcherson, but they would make for one cute couple. 

It’s not her past boyfriends that made Victoria Justice a household name, but the TV shows and movies she starred in throughout her career. 

Victoria Justice got her start as a child star, but she’s much more than that 

Victoria Justice was born in Hollywood, but not the one you’re thinking of. She was born and raised in the Miami suburb of Hollywood, Florida and started in show business at an early age. At age 10, Victoria Justice moved from one Hollywood to another to attend the Los Angeles’ Millikan Performing Arts Academy. It is here where she first developed her acting skills, booking tv commercials for famous brands like Guess, Ralph Lauren, Gap and Ovaltine.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Victoria Justice said even from a young age, she knew she wanted to be a performer:

“I saw a kid in a commercial when I was 8 years old and I remember just watching this kid and being like, ‘I think I can do that. I want to do that. I screamed for my mom to come into the room and she was like, ‘What’s going on?’ And I was like, ‘Do you see that kid? How do I do that? Can you help me do that?’ So that’s kind of how it started.”

Her first big TV roles were in some familiar shows like Gilmore Girls and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I was today years old when I realized Victoria Justice was the girl who won the pageant the WHOLE time. I’m not alone on this one, Twitter is definitely with me. As someone who used to watch The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as a kid, all I can say is I’m *SHOOK.*

Victoria Justice continued to appear on Nickelodeon shows like BrainSurge, The Troop, and iCarly, but it was not until she appeared in Zoey 101 that got her big break and acted as a springboard for Victoria Justice in Hollywood. 

Victoria Justice TV Shows: Zoey 101 (2005)

If you watched Nickelodeon in 2005, then you probably remember Zoey 101 starring Jamie Lynn Spears, Victoria Justice, Christopher Massey, and Erin Sanders. This teen sitcom centers on Zoey Brooks (Jamie Lynn Spears) and her friends attending a boarding school in Southern California. Lola Martinez (Victoria Justice) is one of those friends, and quickly became one of the most well-known characters on the show. 

Lola Martinez (Victoria Justice), introduced in Season 2 as a character, aspires to become an actress. Her sheer determination was enough to remind every kid watching that nothing was impossible if you just keep trying.

This Twitter user put the Zoey 101 universe into perspective for us. ?

Recently, there have been rumors about a Zoey 101 reboot. This has not been confirmed, but Victoria Justice responded to the claims, saying she may be into the idea,  “To be honest with you. I don’t really know much about it. I was hearing things about a reboot, but no one had ever really talked to me specifically about it. But I mean, I love that cast, I love that show… but there’s nothing official right now.”

Here’s to hoping for a Zoey 101 reboot with some of our favorite characters.

Victoria Justice TV Shows: Victorious (2010-2013)

After Lola Martinez came the incomparable Tori Vega (Victoria Justice) in Victorious. The show is about a teen on the cusp of stardom after years of living in her sister’s shadow. Victoria Justice plays an easy-going, loving, and positive protagonist who is always there for her friends when they need her. The show stars some pretty big names like Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gillies, and Danielle Monet. 

Victoria Justice came to Los Angeles to act, but also to follow her passion for singing and dancing, so Victorious was the perfect role for her. 

In March 2020, the Victorious cast met virtually for the 10-year reunion of the show. At the height of the pandemic, Victoria Justice had some loving and encouraging words for fans. 

“Thank you so much for supporting our show after all these years — 10 years, that’s absolutely insane. We hope that you guys are staying home and staying safe and staying healthy. Sending you guys all our love in the world.”

Victoria Justice TV Shows: Eye Candy (2015)

Moving away from her Nickelodeon days, Victoria Justice starred in the MTV thriller series Eye Candy in 2015. The show is based on the R. L Stine book of the same name and follows a tech genius who begins online dating, and she quickly finds out the person she’s talking to is cyber-stalking her. 

The show kept viewers on the edge of their seats with plot twists and unique storylines. This is a role that Victoria Justice took on wholeheartedly, and it helped her push away from her child star image. 

Victoria Justice talked to Inside Hook about her experience filming Eye Candy. “It was very dark and twisted and sexy, and it was really exciting to get to do something that was so different,” she says. “It was definitely challenging. There were some really dramatic moments in that series. But I’m always up for a good challenge.”

Eye Candy was unfortunately canceled after only one season and Victoria Justice fans were NOT happy about it. 

Victoria Justice released a statement to fans about the cancellation, saying she was lucky to have them along for the ride.

Victoria Justice Movies: Trust (2021)

Victoria Justice has evolved throughout the years and her most recent role in Trust shows how much she’s really grown up. This romantic whodunit follows a New York art gallery owner and her husband as they face temptation and challenges within their marriage. It offers a more sophisticated look into the world of marriage and infidelity, and this is one of the things that attracted Victoria Justice to the role, saying “I think that this is definitely one of the most mature roles I’ve done to date. One of the things that attracted me to this script is that I loved that it was about an adult relationship and explores these themes of infidelity and trust.”

Victoria Justice promoted the release of Trust in March 2021, calling the film a sexy, twisted thrill ride.

Victoria Justice broke out of her Nickelodeon past

There is no doubt that Victoria Justice evolved into a multi-talented actress, singer, and performer. She is taking on more serious roles in Hollywood and is open to trying more challenging roles in the future. Victoria Justice wants to explore further and take roles “that have a sensuality to them and are sexy, because it’s super fun and it’s such an empowering part of being a woman. I really just want to try everything.”

After taking a 7-year hiatus from music, Victoria Justice released a new song “Treat Myself” at the beginning of 2020. The song is a soft self-care anthem that tackles the negative thoughts that run through everyone’s minds from time to time. Watch the “Treat Myself”music video  here. 

Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande have been friends since Victorious aired and Ariana Grande took to her Instagram story to congratulate Victoria Justice on her vulnerable song. 

“Congratulations my friend @victoriajustice,” Ariana Grande shared alongside a photo of the track’s album art. “this is so so beautiful.”

Victoria Justice has equal amounts of support for her friend Ariana Grande, and hopefully, there could be a collab in the future? We’ll keep our fingers crossed. 

In 2021, Victoria Justice dropped yet another single called “Stay.” 

She told Billboard that “It’s good to be creative again, to be sharing music with the world again and to be doing it on my own terms. I’m not gonna just sit on these songs and wait for them to not be relevant anymore.”

Fans will have to wait a little longer than expected for the album to be released, but we’re just happy Victoria Justice is back to making music. On Victoria Justices’ Instagram, she posted about the delay.

From her Zoey 101 days to the impending release of her new album, the Victoria Justice stans are still going hard for the actress.
