Pink Helps Daughter Meet her Idol Rihanna

Pop star Pink made her daughter’s dreams come true at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (28Jan18), by helping her score a hug with her “idol” Rihanna.

The two artists were among the performers and nominees at the New York City ceremony, and although Pink lost out on the Best Pop Solo Performance prize to Ed Sheeran, she still had reason to celebrate after helping to put a huge smile on six-year-old Willow’s face.

Pink, who delivered a powerful performance of Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, has taken to Instagram to share a photo of her girl beaming while standing on a chair as she cuddles up to Rihanna backstage at Madison Square Garden.

“Dreams come true,” the proud mom captioned the snap. “My daughter lives for this woman. So do I.”
Pink’s husband, motocross racer Carey Hart, uploaded a similar shot, and added: “I thought for sure mama @pink had the Grammy in the bag tonight, but it didn’t happen. But, she made the night VERY memorable for Willz!!! Willz has been a fan of @badgalriri Rihanna for a long time, and mama got an intro for her. Major mom points tonight (sic).”

Meanwhile, in another series of images, Pink, whose 13-month-old son Jameson didn’t get to attend the Grammys, reflected on her family’s fun-filled night out.

Willow met her idol tonight @badgalriri… her fav performances were Kendrick (Lamar), me, and (Lady) Gaga (sic),” she wrote. “My mom had fun and looked so fancy I can’t even stand it. My husband looked amazing and made me a flask of old fashioned (cocktail).”

“I wore a custom Armani feather dress cause I’m FUN,” she continued. “I sang my f**king heart out for the cause, a song i wrote for the suffragette movement, barefoot in a white T-shirt and jeans…”
Concluding her triumphant post, she shared: “y’all I’m so proud of myself I’m gonna buy myself a drink tonight. Perseverance. Perspective, gratitude.”
