‘Game of Thrones’ Finale Brings in 5.4 Million Viewers

 Credit: HBO

The Game of Thrones  finale aired Sunday night, bringing Season 3 to a close. And while the ratings for Sunday’s episode didn’t quite hit a new audience record, they did give the show the status of second-most-watched series in HBO’s history.

The finale averaged 5.4 million viewers, many of whom were still reeling from the losses suffered in last week’s Red Wedding. But season 3 is over, and viewers will have some time to recover before season 4 begins and more of our beloved characters die horrible deaths.
