New Girl: Have you ever wondered about the two human beings that created the unnaturally adorkable hot mess known simply as Jess? Well, wonder no more — New Girl has cast Rob Reiner and Jamie Lee Curtis as Jess’ folks for an upcoming Thanksgiving episode. They’re divorced, so naturally Jess will concoct some sort of Jess-ian scheme to get them back together. Carla Gugino has also been cast as Schmidt’s “sex freak” boss. [TVLine] [EW]
The Kardashians Take Everything: To further their quest for world domination, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian have again landed in Miami to unleash unspeakable horrors on the peaceful beach community. E! will begin production on the series — which, if you like numbers, is the fourth iteration of the K and K Take City franchise — on Monday. [EW]
Bates Motel: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory‘s Freddie Highmore is all grown up, and he’s set to play Norman Bates in A&E’s upcoming series Bates Motel. The series will focus on Norman’s relationship with his mother (Vera Farmiga) in the pre-Psycho days. [Deadline]
Vegas: Breaking Bad‘s Jonathan Banks is on a serious hot streak — earlier this week we learned that everyone’s favorite introspective ex-Philly cop would play Ben’s dad on Parks and Recreation, and now we hear that he’s joining the new show Vegas for a multi-episode arc. Banks will play Angelo, a Chicago gangster who visits Sin City to check on his massive cash flow. [TVLine]
