Fox really wants to make sure everyone is talking about New Girl. Lucky for them, we already are thanks to Zooey Deschanel’s adorable quirks and Liz Meriweather’s signature witty dialogue. And we’re about to get a lot more chatty. The network is making the pilot episode available early so we can all jump onboard — and create a little buzz when we inevitably send out Facebook posts, Tweets, funny GIFs on Tumblr, messages in a bottle, and little notes on the legs of homing pigeons telling our friends just how much we loved this new show. Right now, you can watch the pilot on iTunes and it will hit Fox.com and Hulu at 12:05 a.m. on Sept. 13 ending its run at 11:55 p.m. on Sept. 19. The cut-off is just in time to make sure anyone else who hasn’t seen the show has to watch its premiere on Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. after Glee.
I know the temptation of all that adorableness is calling you, but if you’re at work like we are, do yourself a favor and don’t watch it until you get home. You’ll get better giggles that way, we promise.
