Ethan Hawke and his wife Ryan (who he and Uma Thurman hired to help them take care of their two children while they were off making movies) are expecting their second child together. After divorcing Uma in 2004 after marrying in 1998, it appeared Hawke was still committed to parenting and was quoted as saying parenthood is “the only role that, if I fail, I will consider my life a failure.” Ethan and Ryan wed in 2008 and then welcomed their daughter, Clementine Jane one month later. Insiders say the couple doesn’t know the sex of their soon-to-be second child yet, but that their daughter is crossing her fingers for a little brother. Neither Hawke’s representative nor Uma offered any comments on the matter.
