Star Trek: The Next Generation Motion Picture Collection Blu-ray
You can argue Kirk or Picard all you’d like. There’s enough room in the universe to love them both and it’s only fair that The Next Generation gets a little extra attention now and then — after all, Patrick Stewart can’t survive on American Dad alone! OK, we admit it: We thought the TV show was pretty cool too. The movie was a letdown and let’s not even discuss George Lucas and his steaming pile of prequels. But this Clone Wars TV show actually has some entertainment value, and fanboys everywhere just love to utter the words “Star Wars.” This Complete Season One contains 22 episodes (including seven director’s cut episodes), 22 behind-the-scenes featurettes and a 64-page production journal with original sketches. OK, we can’t really even wise-crack about this one. Disney-Pixar’s UP was just so damned good and don’t you try to convince us otherwise! And it’s not just for animation and Pixar enthusiasts; the whole family can circle around their little fanboy and enjoy this one together. Yes, there are extras and a digital copy — but who cares?
