Hollywood.com Celebrity Spotlight: Emmanuelle Chriqui

Emmanuelle Chriqui is an actress, but she doesn’t play one on TV. On HBO’s Entourage, that’s somewhat rare, but it has worked well and paid dividends for Chriqui, especially during the hit show’s current season. As Sloan, daughter of agency founder Terence (Malcolm McDowell)–superagent Ari’s (Jeremy Piven) kryptonite–and accommodating boyfriend of E (Kevin Connolly), Chriqui is a key link to the show’s main characters. That connection, along with her beauty, style and acting ability, has made for a much more prominent role this season. It’s also translated into more time on the big screen, as Chriqui looks to become a genuine double threat. Either way, get ready to see a lot more of this up-and-coming actress!

Aside from her expanding role on Entourage, Chriqui has been a working actress for over 10 years. Between TV series and movies, Chriqui has amassed quite a Hollywood resume, but it’s only recently that her films and roles in them have become more well-known. Her biggest movie break came in 2003 horror flick Wrong Turn, in which she starred alongside Eliza Dushku. Following smallish parts in films Detroit Rock City, Snow Day and Waiting… and a brief stint on TV’s The O.C., Chriqui landed her biggest and most high-profile part in last year’s In the Mix, with Usher. While not a huge box-office smash, the film put her acting chops and graceful beauty on full display, and broke her out of her Entourage persona for all to see.

Chriqui‘s has several films completed and awaiting release. Chief among them is the comedy After Sex featuring a cast that includes Jane Seymour, Taryn Manning, Mila Kunis and others.
