This special
edition, 2-disc set tells the story of Matt Murdock, a blind
attorney who represents the downtrodden during the day. But
at night, he becomes Daredevil, a masked vigilante whose other
four senses function with superhuman sharpness. He stalks the
dark streets of the city for criminals, a relentless avenger
of justice because for Daredevil, justice is blind–and for
the guilty, there’s hell to pay. Also stars Jennifer Garner,

Big Movie
When the
gang from the Hundred Acre Wood begin a honey harvest, young
Piglet is excluded and told that he is too small to help. Feeling
inferior, Piglet disappears and his pals Eeyore, Rabbit, Tigger,
Roo and of course Winnie the Pooh must use Piglet’s scrapbook
as a map to find him. In the process they discover that this
very small animal has been a big hero in a lot of ways.

a delightfully entertaining film for young children–showing them

 Solaris
When psychologist
Chris Kelvin (George Clooney) is sent to investigate the unexplained
behavior of a small group of scientists aboard the space station
Prometheus, he is met with a shocking discovery: One has committed
suicide and the two survivors are exhibiting signs of extreme
paranoia, seemingly caused by the planet Solaris which they
are orbiting. Soon, Kelvin too becomes “infected”
but his delusions present him with a second chance to right
a past tragic relationship that caused him overwhelming guilt
and remorse. Can he really alter the course of events? Or is
he fated to repeat mistakes?

Our Review:
Solaris is a meditative
drama wrapped in a sci-fi setting with a love story nestled at the
core. This film will turn off technophiles but is interesting enough
in concept and storytelling.

Destination 2
Death gets
cheated–again. This time, on a highway on-ramp, Kimberly Corman
(A.J. Cook) has a vision of a horrific traffic accident that
leaves many dead bodies in its wake–including her own. Snapping
awake, she is shocked into action and blocks the cars behind
her from joining the traffic as the very crash she envisioned
unfolds before them, causing those on the ramp narrowly escape
with their lives. But it’s not over, not by a long shot.
With help from the lone survivor of the first Final Destination,
Clear Rivers (Ali Larter), Kimberly and the random group of
survivors race against Death to stay alive.

Although this highly entertaining
gorefest is not without its flaws,Final Destination 2 will

 Shanghai
Knights
The dynamic
duo of Chon (Jackie Chan) and Roy (Owen Wilson) are back for
more fun. This time a Chinese rebel murders Chon’s estranged
father and escapes to England with Chon and Roy hot on his tail.
Chon’s sister, Lin (Fann Wong), comes along and they uncover
a worldwide conspiracy to murder the royal family. With the
help of a kindly Scotland Yard Inspector and a 10-year-old street
urchin, the acrobatic Chon gives Victorian Britain a kick in
the pants as he attempts to avenge his father’s death–and keep
the romance-minded Roy away from his sister.

Our Review:
No matter how ridiculous and
inconsistent Shanghai Knights gets, marveling at Chan’s acrobatics
and laughing at Wilson’s sardonic one-liners is still worth the price
of admission.
