Ali Rap airs Saturday at 9/8c on ESPN
Muhammad Ali’s words come alive once again in tonight’s premiere of Ali Rap on ESPN. The star-studded special is based on the book of the same name written by George Lois, and aims to explore the power and influence that ‘The Greatest’ had on the tense social landscape of his time.
Public Enemy’s Chuck D hosts and, in addition to original footage of the legend speaking on his own, stars of sports and entertainment, such as Sidney Poitier and James Earl Jones lend their distinctive voices to convey Ali’s most potent thoughts.
The song “Ali Rap (Get Used to Me),” a hip-hop homage to Ali written by Chuck D, serves as the show’s soundtrack.
Ali Rap airs Saturday at 9/8c on ESPN.
