Deadline reported that Sydney Sweeney is set to star opposite of Dakota Johnson in Sony and Marvel’s Madame Web. While the Euphoria actress’ role in the film is a mystery, S.J. Clarkson will direct with a screenplay by Burk Sharpless

Tom Hiddleston is engaged 

Congrats are in order for Tom Hiddleston! PEOPLE confirmed that the Loki actor is engaged to Fresh Meat actress Zawe Ashton. According to reports, the two met on the set of the 2019 Broadway play Betrayal, where they played husband and wife.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame keeps Dolly Parton on the 2022 nominee list

In a tweet on Monday, March 14, Dolly Parton announced that she would be declining her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination.

“Even though I am extremely flattered to be nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I don’t feel that I have earned that right,” she wrote, “I really do not want the votes split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out.”

After 3 days, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation responded with their own statement in a Tweet. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame would keep her nomination.

Dolly Parton’s music impacted a generation of young fans and influenced countless artists that followed,” the foundation wrote. “Her nomination to be considered for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame followed the same process as all other artists who have been considered.”

Other 2022 nominees include Beck, Pat Benatar, Eminem, and Lionel Richie, among others.

Bridgerton returns to Netflix this week

Lady Whistledown continues her gossiping tales in season 2 of Bridgerton. Premiering on Friday, March 25, this season follows Daphne Bridgerton’s (Phoebe Dynevor) brother, Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), and his search for love. During his pursuit of marriage, he gets caught in a love triangle between sisters Kate (Simone Ashley) and Edwina (Charitha Chandran).

While Regé-Jean Page is not returning to the series, Phoebe, Nicola Coughlan, and Claudia Jessie play major roles in season 2.

The 2022 Oscars premiere on Sunday, March 27th.

The Oscars are finally here! Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, and Regina Hall are set to host the award show. The Power of the Dog leads with 12 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The award show will also have performances by the All-Star Band featuring Adam Blackstone, Travis Barker, Sheila E. and Robert Glasper, and many more.
