The road to production on Skyfall aka Bond 23 was long and winding, surviving the bankruptcy of MGM, a constantly shifting cast and crew and a number of other behind-the-scenes issues. But now it’s happening; director Sam Mendes is behind the camera, Daniel Craig is wielding his deadly PP7, Judi Dench’s M is scowling up a storm and Javier Bardem is locked in a mysterious villain-ish role. Bond has returned.
The first official image for the movie has been released and while it’s not teasing anything spectacular (as I’m sure the marketing team plans on teasing us all the way to the November 9 release date), it does ensure that Craig is back as the badass 007 he established in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. According to the official site, the image below shows Bond infiltrating a location in Shanghai, where one can assume he will unleash his secret agent fury to a number of unsuspecting henchmen.
