Giant Robots Means One Thing: ‘Pacific Rim Uprising’ Trailer

Pacific Rim is one easy movie to market.

If you say “Giant robots are going to fight giant monsters” Most boys and men around the world will want to see it. Sure there was some kind of plot, but who cares? They tried planes, nukes, walls, a lot of things, but robots were the end decision. People around the world joined together to fight these evil monsters.

The sequel will have mostly more of the same. Guillermo del Toro will unfortunately not be helming it, but after creating such a great world already hopefully new Director Steven S. DeKnight will be able to keep up. The film takes 10 years after the first film, and the pilots now include Jake Pentecost (John Boyega) the son of Stacker Pentecost who will join with Rinko Kikuchi (Mako Mori). The Kaijus have evolved so it’s up to the new Jaegers to be better. Visually it looks stunning and hopefully, the film can keep up.
