We have to admit: when we first spotted structural bangles and cuffs on the S/S 2014 runways, we knew we had a hit on our hands. We weren’t wrong either; within a couple of days, the wrists of Brooklyn were adorned with edgy, tribal-inspired bangles – and once something becomes “cool” in Brooklyn, well, the world seems to take notice.
While any hard-edge fashion element can be off-putting – pulling it off is all about the paradox. Stronger styles look empowering but they need to be complimented with a dose of femininity to be approachable. We love when chunky layered cuffs are paired with delicate dresses. Thin delicate bangles, worn stacked or solo, give bad-ass leather motorcycle jackets and rocker tees a more flirty feel.
No matter if you’re going grunge a la Zoe Kravetz or funky like Solange, we’ve pulled a selection of geometric bracelets you’ll want to bend over backwards for.
