Agatha All Along: What You Need to Know About the MCU’s Flamboyant New Addition

Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza star in the Marvel Television spinoff Agatha All Along, a series on Disney+ where a witch embarks on a quest to reclaim her magical powers.

Agatha Harkness returns in her own spinoff, set after the events of the highly revered series WandaVision. The witch is now forming a new coven after her encounter with the Scarlet Witch and grappling with breaking a lingering spell. Fortunately, Kathryn Hahn will take on this role once again.

If you watched Kathryn Hahn’s over-the-top, theatrical portrayal in WandaVision, you likely have a sense of the tone Agatha All Along will bring, given it’s from the same creative team. At the show’s premiere this week, the cast suggested that it might just be thegayest project to grace the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we are absolutely here for it.

Marvel’s New Series Agatha All Along: Cast, Plot and How To Watch

The newest addition to the Disney+ series debuts on September 18, and Agatha (portrayed by Kathryn Hahn) escapes Wanda’s (Elizabeth Olsen) spell and forms her own group of witches, determined to reclaim her powers. The coven, consisting of characters played by Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Patti LuPone, unites with Agatha as they embark on a journey along the Witch’s Road.

The previews hint that the audience will find Agatha after Wanda has taken away her powers.

In a preview released two months ago, Rio Vidal, portrayed by Aubrey Plaza, tells her, “That witch is gone, leaving you trapped in her twisted spell.”

Agatha All Along premieres today, September 18, on Disney+. The first two episodes will be available to stream.
