It seems that a regular season order isn’t enough for Kurt Sutter’s FX drama, Sons of Anarchy. The regularly outspoken showrunner got his little series an extra 40 or so minutes to flesh out the goings on of the series’ Season Four finale. He had been expressing his desire to extend the finale via Twitter — the way he expresses everything he feels — but it appeared that he’d be unable to get his wish for a 2-hour finale for the “three episodes” worth of story he wants to tell.
Well, it seemed that way for a while anyway. Now, Sutter has proved yet again that whining and tweeting is the way to victory because FX will now air the extra episode (a.k.a. the Season Four finale) on Dec. 6 in the series’ usual timeslot. Let’s hope it’s a finale worth all this hullabaloo. But with the way this season has been going, I’ll bet it will be a hell of an episode.
Sons of Anarchy airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
