Lifetime’s latest celebrity-obsessed made for TV movie centered on the rise and demise of spotlight stealer Anna Nicole Smith — and it looks like audiences everywhere are still intrigued by Smith’s larger than life persona.
The biopic shattered the network’s previous records brining in 3.3 million viewers in Saturday night’s premiere making it the year’s number one cable movie premiere among female viewers between the agers of 35-54 and 18-49.
Starring Agnes Bruckner, Anna Nicole, centered on the life of the Marilyn Monroe-inspired tabloid queen and 1993 Playmate of the Year in her journey through fame as both a wife and single mother. The star died of an accidental drug overdose in 2007, but thanks to Lifetime, her time in the spotlight is now brighter than ever.
