Charlie Sheen’s ‘Anger Management’ Teaser: What Have We Learned?

Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen recently told us that his new show, Anger Management, is “smarter” than his old one, Two and a Half Men — and in the brand-new promo for the FX series, Men is once again referenced, albeit a little more subtly.

The 15-second clip starts off with solemn funeral music as the camera pans to Sheen, lying in an open casket, eyes closed — followed by a voice-over: “Charlie Sheen died … and went to FX.” During which Sheen opens his eyes and offers a barely noticeable reaction. (A smirk, perhaps?!)

The very, very brief teaser, the first for the series on which Sheen will play an anger-management therapist (a loose adaptation of the 2003 Adam Sandler/Jack Nicholson comedy), doesn’t reveal even a hint of what we can expect from the show, tonally or otherwise, but make no mistake: It’s a swipe at Sheen being killed off of Men.
