The trailer for the final season of Dexter is here and with it, Deb’s inevitable downfall. When we last saw her she seemed to be coping relatively well with Dexter’s true identity — despite popping the occasional pill — but it looks like killing LaGuerta was the final straw. Now she’s popping way too many pills, getting a DUI, and sleeping with some sketchy looking guy.
Dexter’s going to try to help her out, of course, but he might have his hands full with Dr. Evelyn Vogel, a neuro-psychiatrist who is an expert on the brains of psychopaths. Season 7 dealt mostly with inner conflict, but it looks like the eighth and final season is going to throw one last baddie in Dexter’s way.
From the looks of the first full-length trailer, we’re going to get all the suspense, swearing, and plastic wrap we’ve come to expect from the popular Showtime series. So grab your popcorn and your blood slides, because on June 30 the end begins.
