Apparently Doug Ellin, the executive producer of Entourage, asked former Representative Anthony Weiner to appear on the show (for the record, he asked before he resigned). Wanna guess what he said? Ellin says he hasn’t heard a peep from Weiner’s staff.
I’m not exactly sure what Ellin was hoping for. After all, if you were a humiliated government elected official, would your first move be to appear in the douchiest of all douchey television shows for a cameo? If anything, that would only hurt Weiner’s public approval rating and that’s already fairly low. This seems like the first smart thing Weiner has done in a long while.
