Remember last week, when Jon Stewart spent half of his show in defense of his friend, Congressman Anthony Weiner, after allegations that the congressman sent Twitter pictures of his nether regions to young impressionable women broke? Stewart was all up in arms about how his dear friend certainly wouldn’t have and couldn’t have taken or sent those photos. Well, with the release of that photo featuring Weiner’s chest and chin yesterday, it seems that Stewart’s done been burned. Weiner sent those photos and Stewart’s been defending a guilty man. Of course, being the upstanding political satirist that he is, he keeps his chin up and addresses the scandal surrounding one of his oldest friends. And as usual, he does it well.
