‘Justified’ Renewed For Season 5 By FX

FX is givin’ you more Givens. The network announced at their New York City upfronts on Thursday that they have renewed their Emmy-winning drama Justified for a fifth season. The fan favorite series, based on Elmore Leonard‘s novels and short stories surrounding his character U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (played on the show by Timothy Olyphant), will return to FX for Season 5 by January 2014. “It remains one of the most consistently excellent shows on TV,” FX president John Landgraf said during the upfront presentation.

Justified, which is developed for the small screen by Graham Yost and only continues to grow in popularity (Season 4 was the series’ highest rated to date), has its finale — titled “Ghosts — on Tuesday, April 2 at 10 PM ET. The penultimate episode “Peace of Mind” left viewers on the edge about the fate of Winona (Natalie Zea). We can’t get back to Harlan County fast enough to find out what happens.
