MTV develops new animation series

MTV plans to air nine animated series during the next three years. “Animation has always been a part of MTV since the day we went on the air,” MTV Animation president Abby Terkuhle told the Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday. Among the projects under development is Clone High, a half-hour comedy about four high school students who have been cloned from the DNA of famous historical figures. It will launch during the first half of 2002. MTV also has ordered the pilot for Time Boys, a comedy about three slacker misfits in their 20s who live with their parents. Other projects include Miss Muffy, Bloid and MTV’s Heckle and Jeckle.
